Introducing Elyse Laura!
Life is crazy! On Monday, June 9, Sharron had a doctor's appointment, at which time very little progress had been made for pea to enter the world. The doc was concerned about Sharron, so we scheduled an inducement to start Wednesday night and to deliver the baby on Thursday. Sharron came home from the doc, relaxed throughout the day, and assumed the contractions she was having were more Braxton Hicks... until her water broke!! Pea clearly did not agree with the doc and wanted to make her grand entrance! Daniel rushed home from work and we all zoomed to the hospital, where Elyse Laura Sanborn was born at 10:12pm. It was an amazingly fast delivery, only 5 hours from when the water broke! Though we are obviously biased, we think she is beautiful!

Enter, the pea!
At some point, we decided we wanted to be parents not only of our 4-legged babies, but of a human baby as well. After a time of frustration and plenty of assistance (yeah for medical advances!!), we finally conceived our little miracle, who is now known as our little peapod, or pea for short. We actually found out the good news while on vacation with sharron's family!
Here is our pea's photo at 20 weeks!
At 36 weeks, pea was sucking her thumb and covering her face with her other hand, so though we were not able to get a good picture of her face, we could clearly see the little foot she likes to kick into sharron's ribcage!
Our friend Callie, an aspiring photographer, took these photos of us at 36 weeks. Isn't Callie amazing???Now, we wait. pea is due on June 15, 2008, but could arrive any time!
In the beginning...
Here is our original family: daniel, sharron, lucy, and logan. This photo was taken by our friend Rachel, and was one of our engagement pics!
Baby logan. It is hard for most people to believe, but this was my little guy when I first got him, in September 1998. He weighed only about 10 lbs, and now is closer to 90! Yep, asleep with his face in his tiny little food bowl. I love this picture!
Our lucy. She was found on the corner near our house in September 2002. We like to think we saved her from her life as a street walker. She is now a true princess, or so she likes to think!
We got married on October 15, 2005. It was an incredible day!
