Momma's Shoes

The other day, Momma wore these amazing shoes to church.
When she took them off, I got them back out of her closet and wore them too!

Aren't they great?

A Field Trip to a Farm!

We went on a field trip with school!  We went to a farm where they farm Christmas trees.  When I think of a farm, I think of animals, and they did have a few animals there, but mostly it was a place with some interesting play equipment for kids where you can go cut down a Christmas tree.  Regardless, it was a good time.

The best part of the entire field trip is getting there on a SCHOOL BUS!  What fun!
I am sitting with my friends Marissa (l) and Aliya (r).

 Look at this crazy slide!

I wasn't so sure about this slide,
but I decided I'd try again anyway!

The second time, I went down with Ms. Angie, my teacher, so that was much better!

And we jumped on an air pillow.
I didn't really like that much either.
There were too many kids on it all at once!
Yikes!

We took a ride around the entire farm and got to see where the Christmas trees grow.
It was really hot!
Did you notice my cute shirt?  It is supposed to be a regular t-shirt but Momma made mine a cute "overall" shirt for me!  I like it much better now!

Momma and I went down another big slide together.
(though not as big as that first one!)

Then I rode this crazy swing thing.
As you can see, again I was not impressed.

I also rode in this cow train.  The driver was on a tractor!
I would have to say this was my favorite "play equipment" at the farm.  The rest was too scary!

I also liked the animals but there weren't many of them.  I told Momma that Auntie's farm is better.  There are more animals there.  (Auntie doesn't really have a farm by the way, but there is a really great farm not far from her house.)

It was a long hot day, but then we got to ride home on the school bus again!  Yahoo!

Easter Egg Hunt # 2

Momma and Daddy like to plan an Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt at our house.  It is SO MUCH FUN.  First, they give me an egg with a clue on the inside (plus some sort of treat!).  The clue leads me to where the next egg will be, which has another clue!  I love scavenger hunts!

 Here's a clue!

 Where is the egg???

 Ah-ha!  I found it!

 Ooh, here's another one!

An Easter Egg in the washing machine??

Even Charlie got in on the hunt!

Ok, Charlie, here is the clue....

We found the egg!

The last clue sent me outside to finish the hunt in our front yard.  There it was a matter of finding all the eggs Daddy hid for me.  I am a good egg finder!

 I see one!

 There's one in here...

Look!  There's a basket from the Easter Bunny!
Yippee!

Here is my favorite egg.  It is purple and sparkly!

Have you noticed my pretty Easter dress?  Momma made it (of course) and I picked out the buttons!
She made it with NO pattern.  Check it out!  She found a tutorial on a blog online and made it based off of one of my favorite t-shirts!  She made the skirt super-full so it is nice and twirly!
I love a twirly skirt!

Happy Easter!

Easter Egg Hunt #1

Our church had an Easter Egg Hunt!  Yippee!

First we sang some songs.  I didn't sing though, I was too busy watching everyone else!

Then we went outside for a story!  I love stories!

Here we all are at story time!

Guess who came to the Easter Egg Hunt?  Baby Cooper!
I love her.  I think she is wonderful.

And then,
the hunt started!!

 I'm a good egg hunter!

I stayed over with most of the kids for a while...

but then I happened to notice the eggs in another area!  There was a PINK ONE!
I went tearing off across the lawn for that PINK EGG!!

In case you don't see the egg that caught my eye,
you can sort of see it in the crook of my left elbow as I run!

 Ok, on to more eggs!

When the excitement slowed, I stopped to do a survey of the church yard.
Any more eggs to be found??
I think we did a pretty good job of getting them all!

What fun!

We dyed Easter eggs!

Yes, Easter was over a week ago but never fear, we will get our blog updated eventually!  Here you go!
Momma got a new egg dying kit this year that made the eggs look marbled!  Cool!

First you put the egg into a plastic bag...

Then you add the color and gush it all around a bit.

Voila, marbled eggs!

Fun, but it only made so many eggs and was over pretty fast.  So Momma got out her cool food coloring gel and made more colors!

Now we are talking!  This is way more fun.
I mean, the marbled eggs were fun, but this is better!

We still have the egg holder do-dads from last year, so away we went!
It takes some concentration...

Daddy helped me make stripes on some of the eggs!
We ended up re-dying all of the marbled eggs too!  We made all sorts of pretty eggs!

Why do we only do this once a year?  What a fun activity!
