After opening presents on Christmas, we went outside and took a walk in the snow!

I helped Daddy build a snowlady!

Isn't she pretty? She wore her fancy pearls for the occasion! Notice her pretty eyelashes!

We climbed a snow mountain (where the snowplow had come through)!

All bundled up!

Me and Mugsy! As a sidenote here, I have to tell you how much fun I had playing with Mugsy! He is a funny doggy. I would go to him and pull his big jowls out to the sides like an airplane and then stick my hand in there too and he just allowed me to do whatever! I often laid down and put my head on him, too. We had fun. By the end of our trip, I'd see him and say "Mugs! Mugs!"

Snowbaby! Do you notice that I am wearing BOOTS? Cool, huh? I like my new boots!

I had snow icecream! Momma and Auntie used to have this when they were little. They said it probably isn't super recommended anymore with all the pollution in the world, but I say that is crazy! I couldn't pass up the opportunity for such a treat! YUMMY is it good! If you have never had some, you need to visit somewhere while there is some fresh snow so you can give it a try. I highly recommend.

We went to a restaurant with this incredible fishtank! I really liked to watch the fishes. So did Daddy and G!

Then we went to the KC Children's Museum. They had this house I could climb into. I am looking down through this purple window at Momma!

Whee! What fun!

Back at Auntie Sister's house, I just played and played. I would run in circles through her hallway to the kitchen, around the dining room, through the living room, and then back to the hallway. Here I am with my socks on my hands, in a hat Momma was making herself! Here I come!

Popsy read me stories!!
I like to read books. G gave me this book while I was visiting St. Louis in November, and I tore off these ear flaps that you are supposed to lift up to see ears. Momma and G glued them on again and again and I just kept ripping them off!!
Not only do I like to READ books, I also like to SING books. I do have some books that are supposed to be sung, so now I like to sing to any of my books!

Me and my Auntie Sister. We have so much fun together. She makes me laugh and laugh. I can't say her name yet, but I am working on it. "Auntie Sister" is a lot of syllables. I can say G though, which is what I call Little G. Now that I am home, when I see photos of G, I yell out "G!!"
Thank you Auntie for having Christmas at your new house! I had a fantastic time!
On the way to the airport, Auntie, Daddy, Momma, and I made up a new song! Do you happen to know the song "Once an Austrian went Yodeling"? If not, it is a very fun song with hand movements and funny sounds, and you'll have to ask Auntie and Momma to sing it for you some time. I tried to find an example on YouTube, but none were the same as the one Momma and Auntie sing. Anyway, here is the one we made up:
Once Elyse-y Lou went vacationing
in Kansas City
When along came a babydoll interupting her day:
Oh-lay-a, olia-kee-kee, olia-coo-coo-coo-coo
WAH! WAH!
olia-kee-kee, OH!
Once Elyse-y Lou went vacationing
in Kansas City
When along came a rubber duck interrupting her day:
Oh-lay-a, olia-kee-kee, olia-coo-coo-coo-coo
WAH! WAH!
QUACK QUACK QUACK QUACK!
olia-kee-kee, OH!
Once Elyse-y Lou went vacationing
in Kansas City
When along came a Mugsy dog interrupting her day:
Oh-lay-a, olia-kee-kee, olia-coo-coo-coo-coo
WAH! WAH!
QUACK QUACK QUACK QUACK!
WOOF!
olia-kee-kee, OH!
Get the general idea? The rest of the verses include:
Noah cat -- HISS!
Little G -- G! G!
Popsy -- snore snore
snowstorm -- BRRR!
nursing home -- BYE! BYE!
Oh the nursing home line is from when I went to work with Auntie! She works at a nursing home, and when it was time for us to leave, I was riding on Momma's shoulders, and I yelled "BYE! BYE!" to everyone and blew big kisses like I was the Princess of the nursing home. The residents liked it!
What a fun vacation!
