Peek-a-boo!

I love to play peek-a-boo! Lean your head to the left and see for yourself! Wanna come play with me?

Isn't peek-a-boo fun?

Sorry you have to lean your head. We keep forgetting that you have to take video in only one direction - you can't rotate it!

Clapping

Here I am on the swings again. Good times!

I recently figured out how to clap my hands! Now I do it all the time. Watch this!

Sorry the videos look kinda grainy....

Staying in

Last Friday I was not feeling so well. I have gotten a cold, so I have a runny nose. I mostly feel fine, but this runny nose just comes and goes. Anyway, since I wasn't feeling so well, and it was a yucky rainy day, Momma and I stayed inside and played in the afternoon. Here I am with a new toy I am borrowing. It is a roller coaster!

I also played with my football. I like playing with different balls. I now have a football, basketball, baseball, racquetball, tennis ball, and kickball!

I mentioned it was a rainy day. Well it stormed and thundered and my Logan is SCARED of thunderstorms. You'd think for such a big doggie he'd be so brave! Nope. Momma said he is a chicken, but I thought he was a doggie!

Hey Logan, will playing with my worm help you to feel better??

How about a football?? No, well, ok. Maybe next time!

After playing in the office for a while, I decided to explore the house. I crawled from the office into the kitchen!

You can't really tell I didn't feel so good, can you?

The zoo

Yesterday Momma and I took a quick trip to the zoo. It was a BEAUTIFUL day here so we had to make the most of it!

Look! Here are me and Momma and right behind us is a baby and momma giraffe!

Look closely at this picture. You will see an Anatolian shepherd and a cheetah hanging out with the zookeepers. Cats and dogs living together? Yep. Conservationists introduced the shepherds to cheetah habitats in South Africa to help protect livestock. The dogs deterred the cheetahs from hunting the livestock, so the farmers there stopped killing cheetahs! What a great solution! The cheetahs and dogs here started living together when they were babies. Isn't that neat?

Behind me, you can see the baby elephant, Tucker. He is 4 years old. Momma says he is little, but he looks big to me!!

Did you know that I know the word "dog"? Whenever I see a dog, I say "do" which sounds like "dog" with the "g" dropped off the end. I called all of the zoo animals "dog" too, but Momma explained that they are all different animals. I just can't say those yet!

Easter day

In my Easter bonnet, with all the frills upon it, I'll be the grandest lady in the Easter parade....

As you know, yesterday we celebrated my first Easter (and my Daddy's birthday)!! The Easter bunny came in the morning and brought me a big basket with some new books! I love books. The Easter bunny brought me "Gossie" (about a gosling who wears red rubber boots!), "The Carrot Seed", and "My Friend Rabbit". They are great books. My Little Gramma and Popsy must have talked to the Easter bunny, because they sent me a book too, called "Gossie and Gertie", which is about that same gosling and her best friend, Gertie, who wears blue rubber boots! I have already read some of my new books with Momma, and chewed on them, too!

Later, my friend Owen came over (with his Momma and Daddy), plus our friends Rick, Jay, and Jay's daddy, John came too to have dinner with us. It was good! We had ham and mac & cheese and salad and sweet potatoes and carrot cake for dessert (daddy's favorite)! Owen and I are big now, so we sat at the table and had dinner with everyone!

My momma made my Easter outfit. It even has matching shoes and bloomers!

Me and my friend, Owen!

Owen and I both like wooden spoons! And we both have Dr. Seuss bibs! We are good buddies.

Momma got crazy and made these origami bunnies to put at everyone's place at the table. I played with the one she made for Daddy.

I hope everyone had a happy Easter!

An Easter Egg Hunt!

Our church had an Easter Egg hunt on Saturday! It was great! They had a special area for little kids like me to hunt eggs. My eggs were on a blanket so I could crawl to them. Isn't that thoughtful?? All the other kids in my area were already walking. They are all older than me, like my friend Owen! I didn't so much care about the eggs, but they had put out these little soccer balls and baseballs and basketballs, and THEY were really cool. They are much easier to chew on than a hard plastic egg! You know how I love to chew!

Owen came to find eggs with me on the blanket. That was very nice of him to keep me company! He is a good friend. His daddy, Nick, hung out with me and Momma and Owen while we played.

See, Owen and I both have basketballs. They are great!

Owen was having so much fun, he did the happy dance and rolled all the way off the blanket! Like I said, it was FUN!

I very much enjoyed my first Easter Egg hunt.

10 months old today!!

Time for another photo op with a sign telling how old I am! These pictures are getting more difficult to take because I like to crinkle and chew on paper, I don't so much want to just hold it or let it sit there all alone! However, I'll do my best to cooperate...

Isn't it more fun to crinkle paper? It makes a great sound!

Since it is almost Easter, I wanted to show you my bunny! This bunny is so soft! And it is attached to this great blanket that is soft and snuggly on one side and silky on the other! It's great! My friends Jay and Rick gave it to me! Thank you!!

I put my bunny on my head and played peek-a-boo with Momma!

Boo!

Woah. Did you know there was a ladybug on my romper? I gotta check this out...

Ok, sing with me. "Here comes Peter Cotton-tail. Hopping down the bunny trail. Hippity-hoppity Easter's on it's way..."

Pretty baby in the bluebonnets

Momma and Daddy took me out to see bluebonnet flowers today. They are so pretty! I wanted to eat them but Momma and Daddy said that wasn't a good idea. Momma said that picking bluebonnets is actually a crime, so I hope I don't get arrested! They took lots and lots and pictures for you to see! I'll give you one guess as to who made my outfit. Cute, huh?

Fun times

A nature walk
On Friday, Momma and I went to the Houston Arboretum. It is really pretty there. We went for a long walk on a rocky gravel trail and I took a nap. It was a bumpy ride and it somehow bumped me right to sleep! Momma said next time we'll bring our other stroller, because it is better for going "off road".

Let them eat cake!
Momma and Daddy are part of a dinner group that met on Saturday night. This time there was a Latin theme, and Momma made an Ancho Chile Chocolate Cake. She made a fancy design on top! I didn't get to have any cake, but I thought it was so pretty, I wanted you to see it! I hear it was yummy!

Blucy
Let me introduce you to Blucy. My Grandma Barbara made her for me when I was born! Blucy reminds me of Lucy, because she likes to lay on her belly with her legs out, so I call this doggie Blucy, after her! Isn't she great? I like to chew on her ears and nose. When Momma took these photos, I was playing with Blucy and my ball. I'd roll the ball, pick up and chew on Blucy, put her down and play with the ball, put the ball down and play with Blucy, you get the idea. It was fun!

Guess what? More swings!!
Are you tired of seeing me on the swings? Momma and I go to the park almost every day because I love the swings. I love to feel the wind blowing in my hair and watch the other kids at the park. We have a good time!

See my hair blowing??

Checking out those other kids...
