A Thanksgiving Feast!

Today was our Thanksgiving Feast at school.  I had a blast.  Not only was there great food, but all of the preschool classes made costumes and prepared songs!  Everyone in my class was an Indian, and another class was Pilgrims.  I was really excited about the feast.  Momma AND Daddy were there!  It was great.

Everyone in my class got their own "Indian" name.   Miss Angie, my teacher, gave us each 3 choices and I chose "Gentle Dove" for mine.  "Gentle Dove" was written on the front of my costume.  I also decorated my costume with gems and colored noodles, and made a necklace out of colored noodles which I wore as well.

This is the first of our Thanksgiving songs.  It's called "It's Thanksgiving".
I am standing between my friends Avery and Pearl, and behind Elisabeth, Zachary, and Aliya.

Here is more of that song.  I especially like the pumpkin pie part!

This is our other song.  It is more like a prayer!

It was fun having Momma and Daddy at school for the feast.  The food was great and obviously the entertainment was top notch!!

I think Thanksgiving is wonderful!

Safari School: Lions

I went to the zoo for Safari School!  We learned all about lions!  First we made a craft.  We made a lion mane out of a  paper plate and decorated it with crayons and noodles!  What a fun idea!

Here is how I colored it.  It is hard to tell in the photo, but it looked great!

Then I got to glue on the noodles.  I LOVED that part.
I was very precise as to were I put the glue and each noodle.

It takes concentration and steady hands!

Then our teacher brought in a real kitty cat!  Kitty cats are in the same animal family as lions but they are lots smaller.  Did you know cats (including lions) can sleep up to 20 hours a day?  Wow.  Those are some tired animals!

This is Beguera.  She lives in the Children's Zoo!

After we learned about the lions, Momma and  I had a picnic.  I love picnics!
It was cold that day.  The weather here has been crazy, cold one day, 80 degrees the next!  Momma and I are ready for the cold weather!  We like to bundle up!

Good times with G and Poppy

I had such a great visit with my G and Poppy.  We had a wonderful time together.  Here are some more pictures of our visit!

 Me and G!
We went out for fajitas while they were here!  YUM!

I like to sit with my G.

We painted water color pictures together!

And Poppy and I colored in my coloring book.
Look how I am coloring the page closer to Poppy and he is coloring the page closer to me!
That way we got in a good snuggle while we colored.

I helped Poppy put together some new chairs!  I am a good helper.

Ta-da!  On our perfect chairs with Poppy!

These chairs are about the right size for G.  She is little like me!

Poppy gave Charlie some loving.  How could he resist??

I joined in.  I was a Poppy-Charlie sandwich!

I sure had fun with G and Poppy.  I am sad that they are gone.
They are coming again for Christmas and I can't wait!
I am already making plans for their visit!!!

Dancing class with Momma and G

G and Poppy got to go to dancing class with me!  Miss Rita, my teacher, was out of town so we had a substitute, Miss Mary.  It was a crazy morning because I was the only child there, so Momma and G took the class with me!  We were three generations of ballerinas!  It was a lot of fun to do dancing class with G and Momma.  Daddy and Poppy didn't dance with us.  They totally missed out!

Here we are dancing to "Six Little Ducks"!

And we practiced our chassés across the floor...

Then we did a congo line!

Did you know that both G AND Momma took dancing classes when they were little??  They DID!  We are a dancing family!  I sure enjoyed dancing with them!

Halloween

Not only did I go to a Halloween party at school, we were also invited to a party in our neighborhood!  We have some friends that LOVE Halloween and they invited us to their party!  So, I got in my costume again!  AND I went trick-or-treating on the way to the party!  Wahoo, that is FUN!!

 A sweet little cupcake...

 starting to ham it up!

Momma asked me to make some funny faces, so here's one...

 ...and another...

 ...and another...

 ...I'm on a roll here...

..and here we go!  The last funny face!
Daddy says I got Momma's cartoon face!

 I'm a happy cupcake!

 Ok, on to trick-or-treating.
Here I am with Daddy going up to my FIRST HOUSE!

TRICK-OR-TREAT!!

Every time we got to a house, I waited my turn while other kids pushed ahead.  Then I quietly said "trick-or-treat" and the people at the house would put a treat in my pumpkin bucket!  It was AMAZING.  Then I said "thank you" and walked away.  Each time I was amazed that I got another treat for my bucket!

It was so great having G and Poppy there with me for my first Trick-or-Treating!

We did go to the party, by the way.  Those friends keep a counter at the door to count how many trick-or-treaters they get.  Want to guess the grand total??  Seriously, you'll never guess.  I'll just tell you.  It was 1536!!  That is a LOT of trick-or-treaters!  WOW!

A Halloween Party

When Momma asked me what I wanted to be for Halloween this year, I wasn't quite sure.  She offered lots of ideas and I had to think about it for several days.  Then one day I said, "Momma?  For Halloween I want to be a cupcake with a cherry on top!"  So, Momma got working, as she makes my Halloween costumes! On Halloween, there was a party at my school!

Ta-da!  I am a cupcake with a cherry on top!

We had a costume parade around the school!
My teacher, Mrs. Angie is behind me.  I love Mrs. Angie!

Here I am with my class!

We played a game where I had to hold a Halloween wand and run around a pumpkin and then pass off the wand to another child.
This cupcake ran FAST!

Here you go!

After this, we went inside and changed into school clothes for the party snacks!  (It is hard to play and study at school with a costume on!)  My Momma made cupcakes with a furry yellow monster on top with orange and purple eyes!  They were great!

It was a super fun day!
And it had only just started....

Carving pumpkins!

We made pumpkin moonshines aka jack-o-lantern's for Halloween!

First Momma drew a scary face and cut the top off of the pumpkin.

Charlie had to check it all out!

Then we scooped out all of the seeds!
It's a gooey mess!

You have to separate the seeds from the pulp!  It takes some work!

I showed Poppy our bowl of seeds!

 See?  Look at that!

Charlie was very interested in pumpkin carving, too!

 Here are more seeds!

Wow, Momma!  That is getting scary looking!

 Ta-da!!

Poppy made a scary face too!
Silly Poppy!

At the park with G and Poppy

G and Poppy came for a visit!  It was WONDERFUL.  I brought them to my new favorite park to play.  We actually went there more than once!  We all had a fantastic time!

 G and I rode the see-saw!  Isn't this a cool see-saw?  It's fun!

Hey, what is Poppy doing over there?

Look at Poppy!
Like I said, this is a fun playground!

I played on the swings, as usual.  You know how I've always enjoyed the swing!

Look at that!  While I was on the swings, so was Poppy!

G also had lots of fun at the park!  I showed her all of my favorite things!

Here we are on the bridge!

I showed G and Poppy how I can climb the wall.

 I've gotten pretty good!

I made it all the way to the top!

We all left the park exhausted and ready for a nap!
