The Children's Museum

Wow. Today Momma, Auntie Sister, Little Gramma, and Popsy took me to the Children's Museum! Now, that is one fun place! It is this huge building with lots of fun activities, and there is an entire room for little people like me! I had a great time!

I played with Auntie Sister...

... and Momma ...

And then I saw this really cute baby that looked just like me!

I'm going to have to come back and bring Daddy! The Children's Museum is GREAT!

Another trip to the park

The day after Christmas, my Daddy had to go out of town again. This time it was to New York because my Great-Grams went to live with the angels. Great-Grams is Grandpa Hugh's momma. Daddy flew to New York for a fast trip so he could go to a service that they had to celebrate Great-Grams' life.

While he was gone, Momma, Auntie Sister, Popsy, and Little Gramma took me to the park! We had a fun time. I went down a slide with my Auntie Sister...

...and with my Little Gramma!

Christmastime!

Wow! Christmas time is a busy time. I haven't had time to blog lately, as I have had a lot to do. I have been busy GROWING! Remember my last blog about how I was growing a tooth? Well, it appeared later that day! And then the second one came a week later! On Christmas Eve, I decided I actually liked cereal! I was just waiting until I had my cheerleading squad with me: my Little Gramma, Popsy, and Auntie Sister. They came to celebrate Christmas with us!

I tried to feed the oatmeal to myself!

I have been a busy girl! I also helped Momma make lots of Christmas treats, go shopping, and wrap presents! Special things happen at Christmastime:

My friend Owen came over on Christmas Eve with his parents and he was dressed in a Santa Claus suit! He let me wear his hat!

I love my friend Owen. I gave him a big Christmas kiss!

At nighttime, I took my bath with a Santa ducky! It was lots of fun! I love bathtime!

On Christmas morning, I got up and opened presents with my family! I got lots of great presents! Thank you, everyone!

And I played with my Lucy-dog. She likes to be in pictures!

We had a lovely Christmas!

A BIG day!!

Wow! Sometimes if you wish for something, it really happens! Remember how I wore my shirt that said "let it snow"? And I said I'd have to go to visit my grandparents in order to see snow? Well, IT SNOWED IN HOUSTON YESTERDAY! Yes, you read that right. We could hardly believe it. It started to fall in little bitty flakes and then they got bigger and bigger! Snow is very cold. Momma let me feel it fall on my face for a few minutes but then we went inside because it was very cold out there! I SAW SNOW! I SAW SNOW!
In case you don't believe that it actually snowed, Momma took a picture of it on our front porch:

See that white stuff? That is SNOW!!

On other news, we saw my doctor yesterday for my 6 month checkup. She said that I am perfectly perfect in every way, just like Mary Poppins. She says that every time. Well, really Momma says that every time, in her interpretation of what the doctor said. I weigh 14 lbs and 10 oz and am 25 1/2 inches long. The nurse gave me more shots, which I did not like. I got the regular ones AND a flu shot. Momma got a flu vaccine too, but hers was in her nose! I thought that was funny. Also, I am working hard at growing a tooth. Momma could see it yesterday and today she can feel it too! It hurts!

The tooth is growing right in there!

Finally, I really impressed Momma yesterday with CONSONANTS. I like to say Mamamama and Babababa again and again. It is fun!

6 months old today!

Yep, that's right! I am 6 months old today! I am a big girl!

I am playing with one of my favorite toys. It is a rattle and a chew-toy AND I can wear it as a fancy bracelet. It is cool.

You might notice that my shirt has snowflakes on it, and it says "let it snow". I think that is really funny! I live in Houston and though it IS December, and it IS wintertime, it is actually in the 70s here today. It is crazy. It is supposed to be cold tomorrow, the weatherman said. Momma says there are kids in Houston who have never seen or played in snow and she thinks that is very sad. I will play in snow when I visit either sets of my grandparents in the winter, because it snows where they live! That will be great!

Here I am in my Bumbo chair. I am working on learning how to sit up all by myself and this chair helps me learn that. I borrowed it from my friend, Hutson. Thanks, Hutson!

Tomorrow I will go to the doctor and find out how big I am! I will also get some shots, so wish me luck. I don't like shots!

Cereal

Well, friends, on Saturday, Momma made me some rice cereal. Now, I have watched Momma and Daddy eat cereal in the morning, and was kind of excited to try it for myself, but I have to say that they must know something that I don't because I was not impressed. See for yourself:

I watched Momma make it. So far so good.

Oooh, a spoon! Let me help!

Um....

YUCKY!

Ok, I'll try again...

Ugh.

This is the pits.

Can we be done now, Momma?

No more.

I am really not so sure about this solid foods thing, to be honest. I am happy as can be with the way things are right now. Here is a list of my favorite foods: (1) Momma's milk. (2) see number 1. This works for me. Momma explained that in order for me to grow big and strong I need to have milk AND other foods now, so I guess I'll have to keep trying. I know I'll get over this aversion to rice cereal and then I can move on to better things, but this is going to be a tough hurdle!
