Birthday Celebration #1

I will be having lots of birthday celebrations this year!  Yahoo!  The first was while I was in Kansas City with Auntie and Poppy and G.  We actually celebrated Poppy's birthday, too!  Momma made him a yummy Lemon Icebox Pie, and made me a Mile High Ice Cream Pie.  It was a pie-riffic weekend!  

Anyway, it is always special to celebrate birthdays with family!

 I opened presents in my jammies after a long day!

 Poppy helped me cut the ribbons that were on really tight.  That Poppy is helpful!!

 What's this?  A new game!!  FUN!

 I thought that everyone should be surprised at the presents, so I hid them and told everyone to close their eyes until they each were fully opened.  Surprises are the best!

Oooh, a new book!  G and Poppy gave me three different books that are based upon the Cinderella story!  We got to read some new books before bed!  Yeah! 

Thank you for all of my wonderful presents!  The best present was being with you! 

We went to a farm!

Every time I visit Auntie, I go to this really great farm!  It is amazing.  And it is free during the week and only $2 on the weekends!  Why doesn't Houston have something great like this?  Remember when I went to the "farm" on my field-trip with school?  HA!  They call that a farm?  They need to visit Auntie's farm! 

 Daddy and Auntie swung me up to the farm!

 Wheee!

I saw a dairy cow!

 And I said 'hello' to another cow.  She was pretty!

 They even had a cow bench!

Then I fed the baby goats.  I didn't even get inside the goat pen!  I just stayed outside and one poked its head through the fence and drank the milk.  They sure know what to do when you are holding a bottle!  You have to watch out!

 I rode a horse!!

 Then we went on the hayride.  This is one of my favorite parts of the farm!

 Auntie kept sticking straw in my hair!

After the ride I said thank-you to the nice horses and gave them a pet on the nose!

Before we left the farm, Daddy and I went down this giant slide that came out of a barn!  

I love this farm!

We have been here several times and still haven't seen the entire thing!

I guess we'll have to go back again!

Fun in Kansas City!

During Memorial Day weekend, we went to Kansas City to visit Auntie, G and Poppy, and to go to the Jiggle Jam!  Momma and I flew to Kansas City earlier than Daddy did.  We wanted to spend as much time with Auntie and G and Poppy as we could and Daddy had to work.  Phooey!  Daddy missed out on lots of fun!

We went to a park!

 I climbed the jungle gym,

went down the slides, 

 

 climbed up and then walked and balanced along this wall (YIKES!)

 and showed Auntie how I can swing all by myself!

I still like a good push, but I can keep the swing going!

When G and Poppy got there, it was a rainy day so we went to a nearby shopping mall and rode on a double-decked carousel!  Wow!

 And Auntie rode a bunny rabbit!

 G rode on a dolphin!

And Momma and I rode in a teacup.  We could make the teacup spin around and round while the carousel went around and round!  Oh boy!

What fun!

And our trip had only just started!
