Coloring
Momma bought me some new crayons! We had some other crayons but I like to put them in my mouth so Momma bought these instead! So today I had my first creative time. Momma set up my table and chairs and we colored together. This is fun!

Children's Museum
We went to the Children's Museum again! We hadn't gone in a while because last time we went it was so crowded! I could hardly play without getting run over by other kiddos! So, this time we went in the afternoon and it was nice and quiet.

First I had a look inside this cool foam house...
Then I had fun playing with these plastic balls! They have this cool contraption where you can put in a ball through a hole and then turn these levers to make the ball get to the bottom and come out again! One of the nice girls who works there came over and showed me how it is done. Man is that cool!

Did you see that?

And there are these pretty flowers that are on the wall against the window. You can turn them and see different colors.

AND there was this great xylophone! I have a xylophone at home, but mine is wooden so this one makes different sounds! What fun!

Gymboree
Momma and I go to Gymboree every week. We generally go on Thursdays but my napping was all screwed up yesterday so we didn't get to go to our class. We'll make it up another day! We did go for open gym though, which is a time when you can just go and play with all of the equipment there. Since many of you have heard us talking about Gymboree, here is a taste of what it is like:
There are tunnels to crawl through...

Peek-a-boo shapes...

Slides to go down...

Ramps to climb...
When we go to the classes, there are a bunch of fun activities like bouncing on an air log, riding on a parachute, playing with bubbles, singing songs, etc. There is a toy clown named Jimbo that greets us and tells us goodbye and I like him a lot. It is a lot of fun!

Baseball season!
As you probably know, my daddy is a BIG baseball fan. If the Astros are playing, my daddy is watching. He grew up watching the Astros play and that is his favorite team. Momma grew up watching the St. Louis Cardinals play, so they are her favorite team. There is a big rivalry in our family about baseball teams, mostly between my daddy and my Popsy, as my Popsy is a big Cardinals fan, too. They like to tease each other about who has the better team. (BOYS!!) Anyway, before I was even born, I had both an Astros outfit AND a Cardinals outfit. The Astros one fit last summer, but the Cardinal one fit this summer! What do you think?

Play time
I am a big girl, now, in case you didn't notice. Here is what play-time was like a year ago:

And here I am now!

When Grandma and Grandpa gave me this rocking puppy for my birthday, I couldn't ride it by myself but look at me now! You might note that I have my mallet in my hand. It actually goes with my xylophone, but I like to think it has a variety of uses. Giddy-up, puppy!

Yogurt
Momma gave me some yogurt to eat for lunch. I love yogurt. Momma makes me Greek yogurt with some maple syrup mixed in and it is delicious. Have you tried it? I highly recommend that you do. Anyway, though you might think it is easier to eat yogurt from a SPOON, I really like the feel of it in my hands. Spoons just get in the way sometimes, wouldn't you agree?

I like to think I gave myself a yogurt facial. And isn't it good for your hair, too? What about inside your ear? Eating can be so fun!

A trip to Maine!
We went to an island in Maine to celebrate the 4th of July! We went last year for Labor Day. I had to go on 2 planes, then a car, and then a boat in order to get to the island! It is a long day of travel but I did a great job! It was cold and overcast in Maine (as in high in the low 70s most days) but that was fine with me because it has been scorchingly hot in Houston lately (over 100 most days!). We enjoyed the cooler weather! Plus I got to wear some new duds that Momma's friend, Mary, sent for me!
Here is a comparison between this year and last year at the island:

Daddy and I on the pier. I am in my warm jammies!

Here I am playing on the STAIRS with my new friend, Nancy, watching. You guessed it, I CLIMBED up a few stairs while playing with that white ball.

Nancy put this hat on my head!
We sure had fun in Maine. It is BEAUTIFUL up there. I am so glad to be home, though. I missed my doggies and I am happy to sleep in my own bed again!

A visit in Austin
In the end of June, Momma and Daddy and I took a trip to Austin to visit my prom date, Hutson, and his parents, Callie and Mike. I had great fun playing at Hutson's new house!

Sometimes I get so excited that I just get all silly (as shown in the previous post!) so Hutson wasn't so sure of me at first.

Callie took my 12 month photos while we were there. Austin has some beautiful places to take pictures.

Daddy and I shared a yawn!

But I think HE is GREAT, and soon we were playing together and having fun!

Thanks, Callie, for taking our pictures! They are beautiful!
