It has been blazing hot here lately. We've actually set records, not only for the drought, but also for the number of days over 100 degrees F. So Momma and I decided we should run through the sprinkler to cool off! It was a blast!
At first, I was concerned about the water getting in my eyes so I decided to wear my goggles!
Not only can you run through the sprinkler, you can catch water in your mouth!
It feels funny!
Maybe the extreme heat was making me a bit delirious, but I got awfully silly!
Of course, I just blame the heat.
I am silly all the time!
As you can see, eventually I removed my goggles.
Water on my face is great!
This is serious business!
Thank heavens for a sprinkler on a hot Houston day!
Ok, here is my confession:
Though I obviously thoroughly enjoyed playing in the sprinkler, this is my first act of delinquency. Yes, Momma and I broke the law. They have just issued a water restriction in Houston and we are only allowed to water our grass at certain times on certain days. Alas, yesterday was the wrong day for us. Momma said she wasn't thinking about watering the grass when she suggested running through the sprinkler. She was thinking about running through the sprinkler and cooling off! Watering the grass just happens to be a byproduct of our fun. And once you start running through the sprinkler, do YOU want to tell a 3 year old that there is a new rule and we have to stop? No, I didn't think so.
So, please do not turn us in. We promise we won't do it again.
That pretty much means I can no longer run through the sprinklers at all because the designated hours are late at night! Rats!
And just FYI, I doubt subsequent acts of delinquency will be photographed and posted to my blog. Momma is usually pretty strict about law-breaking!
